We were a little hesitant because of this wonderful Michigan weather we have been experiencing but Hannah’s session was full steam ahead. We met at the park in Carson City and just had a blast. After we rocked the park, we went to her Aunt’s house and took advantage of all her beautiful landscaping, and then we finished up at the studio.
Hannah was so much fun and she was up for anything. We took turns coming up with great ideas for backgrounds and by the end of her session, I was so sad to see her leave. I had such a wonderful time laughing and making jokes. The great thing about her family is they are so close and I love that....in fact, I photographed her cousin, Manuel. Thanks Hannah and Brenda for giving me this opportunity! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Tyler’s 3 month session
It was ten in the morning when Tonya and Tyler came strolling into the studio. I was so excited to see the two of them because everything about Tonya is my first. She was my first maternity session and Tyler was my first newborn session….and now he’s my first 3 month session. I can honestly say that I haven’t had much experience with infants but I love photographing him. When he’s awake and ready for the camera….I better bring my “A” game!
During this shoot we strayed away from the artistic side of photography and we really focused on Tyler and trying to catch his handsome smile. Without his mamma and his Winnie the Pooh rattle, I don’t think we would have accomplished much. Thank you so much again Tonya. I can’t believe how much he has grown. But don’t worry your little eyes….I have two more sessions with Tyler and I can’t wait to see what Tonya’s goodie bag consist of! Here’s your sneak peek…Enjoy!
I just adore this picture!
He really is that precious!!
This is my own version of a Gerber Baby!
Just absolutely adorable!!
They have so much fun playing with each other!

Stanton Old Fashion Days--Part II
So here I am again finishing my posting from Stanton Old Fashion Days. This post is part II; if you would like to see part I, click here. Saturday was so jam-packed that I was almost overwhelmed by all the photo possibilities...almost! I will have to admit the weather was a unfavorable in the morning and at times I honestly thought they were going to cancel. It was a torrential down pour! Luckily almost everyone stuck it out and thank goodness because I would hate to have everyone miss this festival.
A lot was going on the in morning....5k run (which was shot by a second shooter, Nicole), the tractor show was delayed for a bit, but the Kiddie parade was still a go.
Luckily after the parade was delayed for an hour, the weather was more cooperative and all was well!
The Grand Marshalls of 2009 were The Rolstons.
Even Ronald McDonald himself, made an appearance at Stanton Old Fashion Days!
I must admit, there is something about firemen....
The official Stanton Old Fashion Days truck was custom built from scratch!
Here he is folks.....ELVIS!! I could not believe how many people were there wanting his autograph. He has such a huge crowd....so many people were lined up along the stage.
They had so many inflatables set up for the kids....I was so jealous they didn't have my size for me to test it out.
A few shots during the car show!
BINGO!!
The Queen, Alexa LaLonde, and her court for an impromptu photo.
Ariel shots of beautiful downtown Stanton.
This vehicle won Best In Show.
The picture on the left is the proud owner.
Of course after the car show award ceremony wrapped up, it's only suitable for cruise time!
On Sunday, the events concluded with sports and intense competition. First was Mud Volleyball at Double 6 Sports Complex, then the AMAZING Waterball Tournament held by the Fireman, then the festival concluded with Texas Hold 'Em.
I had the best time watching this tournament. I have never seen anything like this and I can honestly say that I am hooked. I can't wait to see another one soon! Maybe next year it will be held on Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
Here are all the competitors along with the winners.
Okay....here's my shameful plug for myself. I was honored to receive a ribbon from the committee members. I felt the best way to showcase was to hang it on my door.
Texas Hold 'Em. The only thing I can say is that all the players were lucky that I was photographing the event rather than playing--otherwise I would be raking in all thier chips right about now!
So unfortunately that concludes the festival :( I had such a wonderful time and I know that next year will be even bigger and better. Stanton Old Fashion Days is always held during the second week in August and the dates for 2010 is August 11-15. I hope to see you there!!
